What happens if I paid off my entire student loan but they still applied my tax rebate to it?

I paid off my complete defaulted tyro loan during a commencement of this month. we even perceived a paid in full letter. But currently we only got a minute from a IRS that my $ 600 was practical to that loan by offset!! Apparently there wasn’t sufficient time in between when we paid off a loan n afterwards removing my rebate. we only attempted to call a Missouri Department of Education, that my loan is through, though they have been sealed for a day. Does any one know if we can get my $ 600 back???
